Skin Care Tips for Acne

Acne is formed when excess sebum and dead skin cells are produced by your body which clogs your pores and causes your follicle wall to produce whiteheads. When the clogged pores are open to the surface, it will darken forming blackheads. Several factors are also known to prompt existing acnes such as hormones, skin care products, diet, and stress.

Follow these simple steps to save your skin from acne and put your best face forward:

Wash your face

Whether you have dry, oily, or sensitive skin, this step must never be skipped— ever. The ideal number of times to rinse your face is twice a day (morning and evening) but if you are engaged in an active lifestyle, 3 washes could be most helpful. Also, be sure to choose the right cleanser for your skin type and always opt for products that do not contain harsh chemicals.

Facial toner for more cleansing

When you are surrounded and exposed to pollution, extra cleaning is needed! After washing your face, add a sufficient amount of toner on a cotton pad and gently apply to your face in a swiping motion. Facial toner will not only remove the excess dirt that is skulking in your pores, it will also add moisture and restore the pH balance of your skin making it look fresh and soft.

Moisturizer is a must

When your skin becomes dry, its ability to keep out impending irritants becomes inadequate causing accumulation of skin cells on the surface making your skin a subject for irritation, inflammation, and a propagating ground for acne. A specific kind of moisturizer is designed for each skin type ranging from dry to oily skin.

Healthy lifestyle

Eating unhealthy foods can aggravate the condition of your acne. Change your diet and go for a healthier lifestyle by eating lots of fruits and vegetables. By doing this, you’ll look better and feel great inside and out!
